The real essence and foundation of Life Pro Fitness is to incorporate fitness into your everyday lifestyle, to the extent it feels like enjoyment and not exercise. So instead think about creating the lifestyle of your dreams that will need to include, movement, healthy living, and positive habits for the rest of your day. Have you ever found yourself feeling dread about going to the gym because you felt like you “had to” go versus “wanting to” go? I know I have! It’s all about reframing that mindset. It’s your time to unwind or recharge and get some endorphins flowing while celebrating what your body can do.

Life Pro Fitness is about finding movement in life beyond the gym/working out. Now don’t get me wrong, the gym/waking out has its place, but walking through life creates many opportunities for movement. Maybe it’s opting for the stairs instead of the elevator or going for a walk during your lunch break. One of my favorite opportunities is to take a simple walk after dinner in the evening. I find walking helps me digest. You will never guess most of my creative ideas come to me when I’m just walking. I just make it happen, fit it in my day, and never think about it again. It is literally everywhere, at any time of day, and anytime you can make that possibility work.
Focusing on Your Nutrition
A key part of Life Pro Fitness is being intentional and going to have fun with the food we eat. Food is nourishment for your body, but it is also meant to be pleasurable food!! Instead of thinking about dieting or removing foods, think about adding in awesome nourishing foods! Experiment more with recipes, smoothies with greens packed in, colorful salads, or grain bowls.
I love to experiment in the kitchen, and quinoa salad is a go to! I love to throw in black beans, corn, avocado with a squeeze of lime, it is fresh and filling, and I love the way I feel after I eat it! Don’t forget meal prep is a time-saver throughout the week to keep continued success towards nutritious eating!
Building Your Community
A fitness tribe can be life-changing!! Surround yourself with your friends, family, or groups that are supportive and want what you want! Join a local group, and workout with a friend or even join an online community. I joined a local yoga class and met a friend who we have the same mind-set of eating, healthy, and happy! We motivate each other, share recipes, and even complain about our struggles! It is more of an endless support!
Never be shy about celebrating your wins – they don‘t have to be monumental! Did you finish that first workout of the week? High five! Did you try a new vegetable? You go chef! When you all from a community that build each other up, you create a positive space for everyone to succeed.
Listen to Your Body
Just remember this: fitness is not a one-size-fits-all process. What works for your friend may or may not work for you, and that’s absolutely fine! Listen to your body, it knows best. If you are fatigued, take a day off. If you have energy, try that new spin class! Our focus should be on progress, not perfection. Each step towards progress, big or small, is a win.
