Home Workouts for Busy People

15-minute Daily Home Workout for Professionals

Hey there, fitness friends! Let’s be honest—life gets busy. You have meetings back-to-back, deadlines coming up, and all of a sudden you feel like the gym membership you purchased is more like a reminder of your good intentions and not reality. But don’t worry! Just because you’re a busy working professional doesn’t mean you need to cancel your workouts. I’m going to share some easy-peasy, no-fuss daily fifteen-minute home workouts for busy people that you can fit into your day.

Why 15 minutes?

You might ask, “How much can I even get done in 15 minutes?” You can get a lot more done than you think! If you focus and do a high-intensity 15-minute workout, you will get better results than an hour at the gym (when done right). You want to be working smarter, not harder. You have freedom and flexibility when you workout at home, and you can make a workout fit into that short, busy lunch period, or right before your favorite evening show!

Why 15 minutes?

Let’s Get Started: Your Daily 15-Minute Workout!

Now, grab your hot shit yoga mat (or just hit the floor), and let’s go! On that note, here’s a rundown of the workout you are going to perform that works many muscle groups, elevates heart rate, and can all be accomplished in 15 minutes. The best part is you will not need any equipment—just your body!

1. Warm-Up: 2 minutes

  • Jog in Place: 1 minute
  • Arm Circles: 1 minute (30 seconds forward, 30 seconds backward)

2. Circuit: 12 minutes Total Complete the circuit by repeating three times (4 minutes for each round):

  • Jumping Jacks: 30 seconds
  • Bodyweight Squats: 30 seconds
  • Push-Ups (on knees if necessary): 30 seconds
  • Plank: 30 seconds
  • You will want to rest for 1 minute between rounds.

3. Cool Down: 1 minute

  • Standing Forward Bend: 30 seconds (back and legs stretch)
  • Cat-Cow Stretch: 30 seconds (spine stretch)

Strategies to Make it Stick

With a quick workout plan now in-place, here are some helpful and practical tips to keep you consistent:

  • Schedule It: Treat your workout like an important meeting. Block out that 15 minutes in your schedule on your calendar…You’re worth the time!
  • Claim Your Space: Set up a little workout area in your home. It can be a little nook that is quiet where you can escape for a short bit. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just clearly defined space for you to get moving.
  • Get Creative: If find you are getting bored repeating the same workout, throw some dance moves or yoga moves in there. It’s not rules of workouts and fitness!
  • Grab a Friend: Sometimes it’s nice to have a little workout buddy. Grab a friend and do the workout together by video call or challenge them to a friendly little workout competition…it’s always fun to have the same workout but who can do the most squats?
  • Listen to Your Body: And always remember it’s okay to modify anything that doesn’t feel right to you. The point is to challenge yourself, but not get injured!
